Foul Weather Whip V2 Ham 2m/70cm HT Antenna

The Foul Weather Whip V2 for ham radio. A rugged, hand-built BNC whip that won't sag in the cold, thanks to a 1.6 mm NiTinol radiator. Sturdy strain-relief back shell and a bigger clasp-style BNC. Every antenna is hand made and tuned in-house in San Diego, California, using components from American small businesses.

2M/70cm Dual Band: tuned 146 & 430 MHz (±15 MHz). Also works on FRS/MURS/GMRS.

UHF Monoband 7 in: tuned 435 MHz (±15 MHz).

We recommend the dual band over the monoband: higher gain, better reception and clearer comms. Every antenna is labeled for its band.

FAQ

Which radios does it fit? Any radio with a BNC port, or SMA radios with an adapter: Baofeng, Yaesu, Quansheng, Motorola, Hytera and similar VHF/UHF handhelds.

Do I need an adapter? Yes, for about 99% of handhelds. SMA gender is set by the center pin, not the threads. If your radio's antenna port has a pin, use the SMA Female to BNC Female adapter (Baofeng and similar). If it has a hole, use the SMA Male to BNC Female adapter (Yaesu and similar).

Will it work for Meshtastic? No. See the Mesh antennas.

Can it be submerged? Yes, it's submersible for marine and foul weather use.
