Need an adapter? Most handhelds do.
Look at your radio's antenna port: a pin means SMA Female, a hole means SMA Male.
The Foul Weather Whip V2 for ham radio. A rugged, hand-built BNC whip that won't sag in the cold, thanks to a 1.6 mm NiTinol radiator. Sturdy strain-relief back shell and a bigger clasp-style BNC. Every antenna is hand made and tuned in-house in San Diego, California, using components from American small businesses.
Band options
- 2M/70cm Dual Band: tuned 146 & 430 MHz (±15 MHz). Also works on FRS/MURS/GMRS.
- 1.25M/70cm Dual Band (12.5 in): tuned 222 & 440 MHz, for tri-band radios. Typical SWR about 1.5:1 at 222 MHz and 2:1 at 440 MHz.
- UHF Monoband 7 in: tuned 435 MHz (±15 MHz).
We recommend a dual band over the monoband: higher gain, better reception and clearer comms. Every antenna is labeled for its band.
GMRS-only user? See the GMRS / MURS version. Fire, SAR or law enforcement? See the Public Safety version.

FAQ
Which radios does it fit? Any radio with a BNC port, or SMA radios with an adapter: Baofeng, Yaesu, Quansheng, Motorola, Hytera and similar VHF/UHF handhelds.
Do I need an adapter? Yes, for about 99% of handhelds. SMA gender is set by the center pin, not the threads. If your radio's antenna port has a pin, use the SMA Female to BNC Female adapter (Baofeng and similar). If it has a hole, use the SMA Male to BNC Female adapter (Yaesu and similar).
Will it work for Meshtastic? No. See the Mesh antennas.
Can it be submerged? Yes, it's submersible for marine and foul weather use.

Well built antenna. It works well. Just a touch stiffer than I like. Not really possible to tuck nit u der pack straps etc..
Purchased the antenna for my Baofeng UV9R+, works great on 446Mhz !
